Cole Peters

1985. I am a photographer — originally from Canada, and currently based in London, England. My photography primarily takes place within urban environments, and seeks to document the strangeness of reality as seen through a lens of introversion and other-ness. Having relocated to London from the sparse and vast prairies of Canada some 4 years ago, I continue to find the crush of metropolitan life a fascinating subject of observation.
To borrow a phrase from Garry Winogrand, I believe that there is nothing so mysterious as a fact clearly described. I have spent many an hour over the past years on the streets of London and other locations in Europe and Canada attempting to record these mysteries of facts, and to understand how a photograph both reflects and transforms what is captured within its perimeters.
I released ‘Images Pour Rien’, my first book of photographs, in early 2016.
