Claudio Cricca

Claudio Cricca (www.claudiocricca.com),  born in Bologna in 1968. The study of photography began in the season of 1994/95. From 1996 to 2000 he attended international classes of photojournalism in Italy and in the US. In 1997/98 he started working on a long project based on the “Police Work” which is still in progress and has brought him opportunities to work with police forces from different countries. For many years he worked on a long-term project, which shows the daily life in the almost unknown former Criminally Insane Asylums (Hospitals for the Criminally Insane) in Italy. This project, named Faceless, has been showing in international exhibitions and in 2007 the book was published by Damiani. In 2004, he began his relationship with the Redux Pictures agency, which distributes his work.
