Maurilio Mangano

Maurilio Mangano, Palermo, 1980. In 2002 he began working in film industry as an Assistant Director as well as Production Assistant, to then finally become specialized as a Casting Director through his many Street Castings for various cinematographic, television, and documentary productions. In 2010 he signed his first direction with the short film “What’s the difference?”. Since 2011 he has been working as a writer and director on the project INTERNAT, a documentary about the sons of the Georgian-Abkhazian war of 1992-1993. He also works as photographer and reporter, collaborating among the others with VICE Magazine, Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso and Pagina 99. He lives between Palermo, Rome and Tbilisi.
