External Contributors and Author Policy

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for contributors/authors (photographers, writers, freelancers, journalists and anyone who decides to submit their content).

To become a “contributor / author”, you must create your “Author account”.

1. We’re sorry, but we cannot offer financial compensation for the publication of your content/posts.

2. By submitting your content (also referred to as ‘post’, ‘story’, ‘news’, ‘product’, ‘contribution’, ‘work’, or called ‘TELL Your Stories’, PROMOTE Your Work’, ‘ADVERTISE Your Products’)

(also referred to as post, story, news, product, contribution, work) to privatephotoreview.com (also referred to as ‘PRIVATE’, the ‘Website’), you agree to be bound by these External Contributors Policy and relative Account Activity Policy.

3. You warrant that your Posts is your own original work and does not contravene rights of any third parties. You also confirm that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your Articles or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16.

4. By submitting any Contribution to the Website you grant PRIVATE a perpetual, sub-licensable, irrevocable, non-exclusive right to use the photos and texts in any way it may reasonably choose on a free of charge basis in any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed throughout the world.

5. You will retain any copyright in your Contribution and you may continue using the photos and texts yourself and/or allow third parties to use it.

6. You grant PRIVATE the right to change or edit the photos and texts in your Contribution for operational and editorial reasons. PRIVATE reserves the right to remove any of your Contributions if it believes that they do not comply with the Terms and Conditions.

7. Please keep in mind that submitting your content does not guarantee its publication.
We will check and review your submission and make a decision based on its check result, quality and relevance.

8. Content Checking Procedure.
Firstable your Submission will be subjected to a preliminary Check to verify whether it complies with this External Contributors/Author Policy. Then if your Content passes the check, it will be scheduled for publication and you will receive a notification email within 2 days.

8.1 Advertising Content.

If the Content Check indetifies the submitted content (post) as Advertising Content, the post will be placed on Pending approval and the Contributors/Author will receive an e-mail notification containing instructions on how to unblock the content and authorise its publication.

9. After publication, you can request to make changes to your content, using the following form.

10. If you ask to remove your Contribution from our Website, we will do so without hesitation.

Don’t submit Your Content to the Website, if you do not wish to grant to ‘privatephotoreview.com’ the permission to use your Contribution in accordance with these External Contributors Policy.


Account Activity policy

Contributor / Author

This Account Activity Policy describes when PRIVATE may close your account due to Account Inactivity.

Account Activity is defined by the following statutes: ZeroPost, Active, Inactive.

  • ZeroPost account – The ZeroPost status is automatically assigned to new Author Account and remains until the Author begins submitting content.
  • Active account – An account that has been used at least once time in the last 3 months to submit new content (Photography, Writing, News).
  • Inactive account – An account that was not used to submit new content in the last 3 months.

ZeroPost policy

  • The ZeroPost statute is automatically assigned to new accounts.
  • After registering your account, to make it active you must send your first contribution within 15 days from the date of registration of your account.
  • After 15 days from the date of account registration, if you have not sent any content, your Account may be permanently deleted at any time and without notice.

Active Account policy

The Author Account has Active status if the user makes at least one submission every 3 months.

Inactive Account policy

An Account becomes Inactive when the author has not submit new content in the last 3 months.

How to keep your account Active?

Log into your Author Account and take one of the following actions:

  • SUBMIT your content →
    Submission sections: TELL Your Stories, PROMOTE Your Work, ADVERTISE Your Products.
  • or Make a Donation to extend Active status of your account →
    This will help us cover the costs of running the site and allow us to extend the Active status of your author account, keeping your whole world online.
    Ex: Donation Amount 5€ = Extend the Active status for your Author Account by 1 more month; 10€ = 2 more months; 30€ = 3 more months; 60€ = 6 more months; 100€ = 12 more months.

What happens when an Author Account is closed? 
Once an Author Account is closed, it will be inaccessible – users will not be able to log in to the account. The account and all data associated with the account will be deleted 30 days after closure. This includes any published content and any other user data. Once the data is deleted, it’s gone forever.


Author Submission Guidelines

Please submit only recent work, created within the last 6 months.
Our web space is not unlimited, so we prefer to show off and promote recently created works.

Text Guidelines

Accepted Languages: The works “Stories” must be in English language. If you wish, you can also submit Stories in your native language, but the English version must always be included.
• Text length: Please write a well-structured text, respecting the minimum lengths indicated in the submission form fields.
• Texts copied: Texts copied from other sites (like Wikipedia or any other website) will not be accepted and your submission will be refused.
• Links: The Post Body should not contain more than three links.
We attach great importance to the post body text of your post.

Photo Guidelines

• Submit only your own photos, i.e. photos that you have taken and whose copyright you can claim.
If you submit a photo that you did not take yourself, always indicate the copyright precisely in the caption field.
• No signatures, borders, digital frames or mats, names, logos, borders, or watermarks may appear on the photo.
• We only accept clean photographs, without overlapping lettering, logos or watermark.

• File requirements:
– File type:jpg format (Web Optimized).
– File size: Max 2 MB size. Width: min 1200, max 2000 pixels. Height: min 1200, max 2000 pixels.
• Photo Non-Commercial: We do not allow photos which contain logos, promotional material, or any other content intended for commercial purposes.
We only accept clean photographs, with no overlapping lettering, logos or watermark.


Deleting Account policy

  • Deleting an account will affect all contents associated with that account (e.g., Photo essays, News, Poems, photos, comments etc…).
  • Please note that account deletion is irreversible.

Request the Closure of Your Account and the Deletion of Your Personal Information

You can submit a request for us to close your PRIVATEphotoreview Account and delete your personal information.

Follow these steps to submit a request to close your PRIVATEphotoreview Account and delete your personal information:

  1. Go to Delete Account.
  2. Sign into the account you want to close.
  3. Review the “Quick reminder about Your Account”.
  4. If you still wish to proceed, check “DELETE my Account”. To complete the closure, click on “Delete account” button.
