The portraits of Vincent Gouriou have on top of their plastic beauty the beauty of the mystery of the unspeakable stories. Sensual, spiritual secret, they revive the question of normality and of difference. Between identities and singularities.

We are not born as a man or a woman, we become it. Life goes through all the ages and so does pain. It’s friends, close relatives, strangers… Meetings that require abandon, giving up to tell the confusion, the doubt, the flaw. (…). In a shaped chiaroscuro, he observes the otherness with benevolence. Through this black mirror that reflects unavoidably an I that’s plural and unique at the same time, he becomes an indicator of human condition.
