The Autumn Light, photo essay by Tarek Shayne Tabet
Autumn is an attractive season for photographers. The colours and the light are beautiful but my reasons for shooting an essay about the autumn period is not a visual one.
I believe in photographing what you feel and not what you see. As I wandered around the park, feelings of sadness, of lightness, of transition overcome me. Nature is virtually dying in front of you, but in a beautiful way.
I photographed in the mornings and in the evenings, when the light was low and the colours were muted. This project is very personal to me and is a meditation in some ways. I shot what I felt in a particular moment when walking around aimlessly.
I hope you enjoy the series.
